Wind power calculator

Type a number, no letters.

Type in the blade diameter in feet, choose a windspeed, then press the button at the bottom.

WindPower Calculations use the formula:
[Diameter^2 X Velocity^3 X .0012]
Use a period . for decimal points.

Remember machines are normaly tuned for average wind speeds,
of the enviroment it is to be used.

These figures are based on 80% blade efficiency and 80% generator efficiency. Both of these figures can be exceeded in the real world - Bobn
